Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) applies to everyone who uses Rivl (rivl.africa), operated by RIVL TECHNOLOGIES LTD. It supplements our Terms of Service.
Purpose of Rivl
Rivl is a Request Exchange that facilitates introductions between requesters and independent providers. Use Rivl only for lawful matching and communication related to genuine needs (currently focused on rental housing in Ghana).
Accounts and verification
You must provide accurate information, keep your phone number under your control, and not share OTP codes. Provider accounts remain pending until Rivl manually reviews and verifies the profile. Circumventing verification or creating fake accounts is prohibited.
Prohibited conduct
You may not use Rivl to:
- Post false, misleading, or spam requests or offers.
- Advertise illegal services, scams, or fraudulent properties.
- Harass, threaten, or discriminate against other users.
- Scrape, harvest, or bulk-export user or request data without permission.
- Interfere with platform security, matching, or fee systems.
- Impersonate another person or business.
- Use Rivl to launder money, evade sanctions, or violate Ghanaian or applicable law.
Provider standards
Providers must only submit options they can actually deliver, keep coverage areas accurate, and not misrepresent prices, availability, or authority to transact. Rivl may suspend providers who repeatedly waste requesters’ time or violate this AUP.
Fees and payments
Do not attempt to evade Rivl’s Search Commitment or provider access fees through false cancellations, chargeback abuse without cause, or side arrangements intended to defraud Rivl. Legitimate refund requests are handled under our Refunds & Returns Policy.
Enforcement
Rivl may investigate violations and may warn, suspend, or permanently remove accounts; cancel requests; refuse matching; and report unlawful activity to authorities where appropriate.
